Sugar, Sickness and Death

Inspiration and Love (having many exciting reasons to be healthy and alive) are much more powerful and fun motivators than fear and guilt, but I think it is important to share the whole picture about consuming sugar (and refined carbohydrate).

Sugar consumption (scientifically proven)…

* Feeds cancer and bacterial infections
* Is a main contributor to risk of heart disease
* Is the #1 factor in type-2 diabetes (95% all cases)
* Severely disrupts digestion (which leads to all sorts of other complications)
* Causes weight gain, obesity, high blood cholesterol and triglycerides
* and sooooooo much more!

Sugar consumption will worsen almost every symptom or pathology because it disrupts fundamental processes in the body.

Is this your diet?

Breakfast- orange juice, cold cereal or a bagel, skim milk, coffee with sugar (or maybe just coffee!)
Snack- peanut butter crackers and diet soda
Lunch- sandwich, chips, fruit, veggie sticks, and a cookie
Snack- some candy at work
Snack #2- chips and salsa while preparing dinner
Dinner- white pasta, meat sauce, bread, and wine
Dessert- more wine or ice cream

What’s wrong with this diet?

Well there is nothing “wrong” with the diet, but it contains unbalancing levels of carbohydrate and is severely lacking in nutrients. This type diet, typical for so many of us, typically leads to dysfunction in the body, low energy, disease, unnecessary suffering and premature death.

The Double Whammy!

Not only is sugar taxing to your system, but refined foods replace the nutrient dense foods that your system needs to function optimally (even without the extra taxation from sugar!).

The work of Dr. Weston Price, DDS showed conclusively that under-development of the skeletal system leading to crowded teeth and those very expensive visits to the orthodontists, is too be blamed on the displacement of our traditional whole foods by modern refined foods (high in sugar).

Powerless to Sugar?
